If clean and filtered air is an important part of
your quality of life then it is time to consider a Honeywell air purifier.
People with asthma and allergies can benefit from just such an air filter
because they remove dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, smoke, and other
pollutants from the air.
Honeywell has several different types of air filters so there is sure to be one
that fits your needs. They use different technological approaches depending on
what the application is. There are different components to air purifiers that
include electrostatic filters, HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) Filters,
ultraviolet lights, and media air filters. These types of filter work by drawing
air, via a fan, over the filtering agent and releasing it back into the room.
Here is a quick overview of the different types of air purifiers you’ll find in
the Honeywell line of products.
Honeywell HEPA Air Cleaner – Ninety-nine percent of air particles are invisible
to the naked eye. The standard one-inch paper filter in your homes HVAC system
will trap less then one percent of those particles. HEPA air filters trap over
99 percent of those invisible airborne particles using a very thin paper like
material.
Honeywell UV Air Treatment Systems – Ultraviolet air purifiers work by
neutralizing and killing microorganisms by exposing them to high intensity UV
light. This works by breaking the molecular bonds of bacteria, germs, and
virus’s neutralizing them before they are re-circulated back into your home.
Honeywell Electronic Air Cleaner – These filters work by placing an electric
charge on airborne particles which are then collected in the filtration unit
like a magnet attracts metal. These types of filters can remove up to 98% of
pollutants that circulate through your homes heating and/or cooling system.
Honeywell Media Air Cleaners – By taking several square feet of filter material
and folding it over and over on itself Honeywell is able to create a 1 inch
furnace filter that has several times the filtering surface area of a standard
furnace air filter. These filters are highly efficient and are able to filter
even the smallest particles.
For home air filtration it’s hard to beat a Honeywell air purifier for removing
airborne particles, smoke, germs, and other nasty’s that wreak havoc with your
respiratory system.
